Division example
In this problem, I halved both the numbers
3 times to eventually get to 12 divided by 3
and I know the answer from my basic facts,
so the answer is 4.

Mother pesters police station
by: Christina Pierrus
The devastated mother of Pippa Allsopp pleaded and regularly showed up at the Havelock north police station sobbing and clearly distressed and asking the officers if they’d found her daughter.
Meanwhile the rescue team was still trying to figure out a way to unwedge Phillipa’s foot without having to amputate it.
They eventually agreed that it was not possible for her to get out of in between the rocks and bushes.
Although Dylan Smith and Bob Robinson were working at breakneck speed to rescue unconscious Pippa, it took the pair 1 ½ hours to amputate her leg and to pull her back up the cliff face.
“One of the most difficult things I’ve ever done” admitted Dylan smith and Bob Robinson.
“It is really difficult to get around, and sometimes it gets really painful but I’m really glad they did it or they’d still be wondering how to get me out!” Pippa states just over 19 hours later.
“I couldn’t imagine what my life would be like without Pippa in it!” Pippa’s relieved mother said.
Confused faces spread as the havelock north rescue team query how Pippa’s foot firstly got jammed in there any way. Whathappeneders believe that

she was perhaps trying to jump down the cliff and it may be fell through the crack in the cliff face.

As If I were there
As if I were there
I don’t want to do this! I wailed in my head, as I nervously stepped down the cliff edge. I didn't bother to say that aloud as I had heard what he said to the other woses like me, “ I can’t pull you up now, you’ll have to go down!” Well that and the fact that I didn't want to sound like a complete scaredy cat.
“Get a move on, ya scaredy cat!” the heavily Canadian accented instructor yelled from about two meters above. I felt like replying shut up but that would desecrate my reputation so instead I Just jumped as far out as I could and gracefully swung back onto the dirt/rock wall quietly. His mouth gaped open at my achievement and I felt quite a bit smug so I showed off more and I ran and leapt and even stood my way at a right angle down the cliff.
Right then, I realized something. I wasn't scared anymore! But then I realized something else. I was at the bottom of the cliff and my turn of fun was over. I was so happy I’d finally done a jump! My word, It felt like I’d just been in space and every thing I knew about balance was totally irrelevant. When I’d stretched my legs to touch the ground I was immediately grateful for earth and solid ground!
Right then I just wanted to climb back up the cliff face and let the Canadian man see my smug face but I couldn’t because I was swept away with the crowd and I didn't have my harness on anymore. I had other activities to go to but I still had a smile pasted on my face for the rest of the day!
